Troop 110 Honors it’s 2nd Eagle Scout of 2010!
Boy Scout Troop 110 is proud to announce that Ian Bouffard of Wales, Maine has earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Ian is the 4th Scout in Troop 110’s history to achieve this award. He accomplished it by successfully progressing through the ranks from Cub Scouting through Boy Scouts. Along the way he earned the Arrow of Light, the highest award issued in Cub Scouting. He is also a member of the Order of the Arrow, the honor society within Boy Scouts which recognizes Scouts for their service to the Scouting program.
A major requirement for earning the rank of Eagle Scout is the Eagle Project. Ian remodeled the church hall at the Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Sabattus, ME. The hall had fallen into disrepair and was in need of new paint, wall board, lighting and other improvements. The completed project was very well received by the church and presents a much better appearance for functions held in the hall. Ian chose this project because he has been an active member of this church and wanted to make a positive impact there.
Ian will be formally honored for this achievement on June 5th at his Eagle Scout Court of Honor to be held at the Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church hall.
